A daring designer of cushions - Susanne Schjerning positions herself about halfway between mainstream and ultra-design with her unique cushions, which have been a major success since 2003. The production process, leading to her characteristic three-part cushions is actually a progression of sampling materials and impressions, which are fused together into a joyfully peculiar blending of patterns with bold combinations of colours and crazy prints.

Love of old textiles led to her first cushion in 2000. Nowadays ”Design by Susanne Schjerning”  leads to a limited number of small-scale exclusive series, made in Denmark using high-quality textiles imported from various European countries.

Susanne Schjerning completed her formal education as a textile designer at Danmarks Designskole (Danish School of Design) in 1999.
